the vanquished victor sunk upon her breast.
at length, with love and wine at once oppressed
Yes, there are many many more characters in Astonishia Story, however, as this is a Francis fansite, I'm only adding characters to whom he has a direct relationship with. Sorry everybody else...

| Brimhild is the Queen of Ferarin, 280 years old. 100 year ago, the Tree of Life was dying, and in order to save her people she sacrificed her youth. Despite how decrepit she became, Francis still loved her dearly nonetheless. Through Dryden she learns that the relics can restore her youth, and they do. But she has become cruel and callous, deciding that as Queen, her well being should come first, followed by the well-being of her people. Seeing that she is traveling the wrong road, Francis never stops loving her and does as she wishes, his dying request that Lloyd to show her the right path. | |
| Lezail, a human wizard, 135 years old. 100 years ago, Francis and Lezail fought for 3 days to bring Dryden down. This time, they are on opposing sides. Alone, Lezail banishes Dryden to Hell once again, but dies in the process. | |
| Lloyd Von Royental, a 24 year old knight and Vice-Commander of the Plamira 5th Infantry. He's very headstrong, to the point where his character is questionable: everything he does is to regain the stolen relic, the Staff of Cainan, everything else seems to be just a stepping stone. Francis respects Lloyd for his courage. | |
| Dryden, the true antagonist of the story. Had he never caused the plight on the Tree of Life, Brimhild would have never gone slightly mad/power hungry as a result of her lost youth. It's a wonder that Francis was willing to work alongside with him, but love makes people (and half elves) do strange things. |
