This guy is a man of many names, so I'll try not to confuse you. Agreian Jei Owen is the General of the Alliance and gives order to the Tears of Blood. His mother is Ladrinne, Great Priestess of Amabat.

In reality, he is half-Yason named Hugo and is Calintz's childhood friend. The two trained together. He gives Calintz his dagger and Calintz gives him the bracelet given to him by his mother (Calintz's mother is Ladrinne). After Fuget is destroyed, Hugo appears by the name of Agreian and claims to be Ladrinne's son. Seeing the bracelet, Ladrinne believes he really is her son.

The traitorous Carian & Azhadi are actually planning with a man they know as Neikan, to gather the Light of Salvation. Neikan is actually Hugo. All is revealed when Hugo takes Ladrinne hostage and demands Calintz take the Earth Shard from Amila. He gets the shard and the backlash of magic he summons results n Amila using the rest of her life to call a barrier to protect Calintz. As he is the reason Amila dies, I'm sure Hugo is definitely not Orha's most favorite person. Hugo's intention was to rule over Efferia, using the power of the Light of Salvation.

Calintz defeats him in the end, and as a domino effect of the Light of Salvation being destroyed, the Tree of Light is also destroyed, freeing the Yason of rheuma.
